It is beautiful to find hearts full of love filling the world with the warmth of care and attention to those who are neglected, and build a House of God (Care Home) that receives the disabled and marginalized and invite them to come and live happily, respecting their dignity.
To see white hands full of love, tenderness and generosity, overflowing in light of service and assistance to those whose days and shattered conditions changed them.
Blessed is a community in which followers of St. Vincent de Paul are found, putting smiles on the faces of the unfortunate, and hope in the hearts of the desperate, and consolation in the souls of the sorrowful.
Blessed are you, O Saint, soldiers are fighting evil with love, hate with good, misery with tenderness, ignorance with knowledge, looking for those in need to fill their thirst and hunger with a big love.
What a beautiful thing it is to feel with others and hurry in serving them who are in need but do not ask for help. The act of mercy is to put ourselves in the place of the other, see in his eyes and feel with him. For the Lord has blessed us abundantly with countless gifts, asking nothing in return! He guides us by love, mercy and humility. We therefore lack nothing, we do not seek condolences but seek to console others, we do not seek to be understood, but seek to understand and stand beside others with sincere love. Because one finds his life by giving and losing it, and in service will we see the face of the Lord.
We ask the Lord to fill us with His Holy Spirit so that we may continue to seek peace and serve one another.
Do you believe in God?
If the answer is yes, then how do you show it in actions?
A question I keep asking myself and can’t find a more honest answer than this: love and service are the embodiments of faith. The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul was and is still one of the most important organizations that help the poor and the needy, a slogan of giving, and its goal of supporting the needy spiritually and financially, being based on faith and prayer.
Give me your hand my brother, and so we help and give others, and open a way to heaven.
A journey of hope … love … and prayer!
In the midst of a time full of pain, violence, fights and fears, our need for prayer is urgent. Before doing any work, let us give up love of ourselves, exercise humility and seek peace instead…
Today, we walk members in the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, faithful to its mission and vision with pride, loyalty and sincerity, respecting and bringing forth the fruits of our ancestors.
For this I believe in my mission, full of hope and faith in the continuity of this service. I want to be a witness and carry this message of giving with a heart full of love and peace.
“Jesus said: “Let the children come to me”
I never expected a child would change my life in turning me into a responsible and cautious person. The most beautiful feeling is to discover the purity of a child and see his capability to love you with no limits. During Easter vacation, we as youth of the SSVP Chahtoul, spent a memorable day with few children of the families we serve at the Elderly Care Home, enjoying entertaining and spiritual games together. I will never forget this day where I could feel God’s presence between us and see his face in every child laughing and smiling out of joy.
