Resource Mobilization and Project Support:

Duration of traineeship:  3 to 4 months
Basis of traineeship: Full Time
Duty Station:  SSVP Headquarters

Responsibilities:
– Under the general supervision of the SSVP Project Manager, the intern will be required to:
– Search for new donors and new opportunities;
– Support the SSVP administration at  SSVP Headquarters;
– Compile a database from donors;
– Beneficiaries and volunteers;
– Any other task the project manager requires.

Learning opportunities during the course of the internship:
The trainee will gain practical knowledge on National and international Organizations mechanism and scope of work. He/she will learn by the end of the training how to search, write and apply for international projects.

Competencies:
– Bachelor student in International Affairs, Political Sciences, Languages, NGO Management or any other related fields;
– Excellent communication skills, especially English language writing and editing, (French, Arabic are highly recommended);
– Proficient in computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, web browsing);
– Highly motivated and skilled in problem solving;
– Resourceful, flexible and able to work within deadlines;
– High sense of responsibility and organization;
– Creative thinker;
– Team player;
– Good analytical skills with an eye for needs identification;
– Avidly curious with enough stamina to continuously search for donors, ideas, innovation;
– Prior experience in volunteerism and/or social work.

Preferable but not mandatory:
– Thematic specialization in one of the sectors SSVP works;
– Background or experience in development and relief projects;
– Planning and project execution experience;
– Good understanding of budget development and spending;
– Proficient in project management software MS Project or Primavera.
Graphic Design:

Duration of traineeship:
3 to 4 months
Basis of traineeship: Full Time
Duty Station:  SSVP Headquarters

Responsibilities:

Under the general supervision of the SSVP Project Manager, the intern will be required to:
– Brainstorm new marketing strategies;
– Support the SSVP communication team at Burj Hammoud;
– Prepare designs for communication kits and social media posts;
– Any other task the project manager requires.

Learning opportunities during the course of the internship:
The trainee will gain practical knowledge on the scope of work of national and international organizations. He/she will learn by the end of the training how to write, design and launch a social media campaign.

Competencies:
– Bachelor student in advertising and marketing, graphic design, communication or any other related fields;
– Excellent communication skills, especially English language writing and editing, (French, Arabic are highly recommended);
– Proficient in computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, web browsing);
– Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop);
– A keen eye for aesthetics and details;
– Highly motivated and skilled in problem solving;
– Resourceful, flexible and able to work within deadlines;
– High sense of responsibility and organization;
– Creative thinker;
– Team player;
– Prior experience in volunteerism and/or social work.
